So I decided to do this guild meeting after a lot of questions started getting asked. Feel free to listen or read the script.
Hi my names Zuko, and I wanted to do this recording/meeting because a lot of questions have been DMed to me and discussed in guild chat about what is the guild’s mission, objective, and purpose and shit like that. What’s the plans for Western Release, how are you going to tackle timezone issues, what’s the raid teams going to look like and etc. And I wanted to do this meeting off a recording because I didn’t feel like actually having a live discord meeting for a 30 min topic. I would rather just have a recording and people can leave their feedback. In the future closer to JP Launch, we’ll most likely have actual guild meetings and stuff like that.
So, I’m going to start off by what we currently know so far that has been confirmed. Guilds do exist, 20 to 30-man raids do exist, and global launch is confirmed. As for details like guild member cap and exact date on global release. Nobody knows. All we know are those 3 facts.
With that in mind, all of the guild plans can only go so far. And I think you can kind of tell that the guild is starting off with baby steps such as creating a guild name. And the reasoning behind that is, the entire guild’s philosophy before it was even created was we wanted everyone to be involved in the creation process of this guild. Myself, I was in pretty large competitive guilds in the MMO scene and they sucked cause you didn’t really know anyone, you were just there to kind of raid-log or territory war and of course you made friends but the guild lacked soul man. It was kind of like a job. And all the decisions were made by the officer core right. And that’s something I definitely want to avoid if at all possible with this BP Guild. And I think that just goes back to how this discord was even formed. None of us knew eachother, we all met through random and various BP Discords and decided to just create a big group chat and that has obviously expanded into what it is today. We also got to keep in mind that the devs in livestream 2 have said that players are able to solo content for the most part, and that they didn’t want to force players into joining guilds for progression. So that statement alone makes me think that guilds are kind of just a social tool to them. Now of course the devs can just be BSing, but I think that’s the route this game is taking.
So as far as the plans go. This guilds like mission or objective is just to play on the JP Version. Since we don’t know when western release is going to happen, we aren’t going to make any plans until we get closer to that date. That’s when we will sit down and kind of discuss all of the details of that and everything else, like EU and NA and stuff like that. Tbh, I predict end of 2020-2021 is when BP is going live in JP and prob end of 2021-2022 to when Western release is hitting. But don’t quote me on that, that’s just a guess.
Hardcore, Casual. BP has so few things that are honestly competitive. BP doesn’t have territory war, or ranked pvp for that matter, or contested world bosses. So honestly raiding is the competitive endgame. And I think everybody in this guild wants to raid, I mean that’s literally the endgame content of BP. And I think that’s def something we’ll plan for when details of raiding are revealed. Cause it looks like it might be a scenario FF mainstory thing and not really a guild activity. But who knows, hopefully we confirm all the details post-cbt 1. I’d honestly consider this guild hardcore, because we’re prob one of the few organized guilds that are actually going into the JP version, and by the time it hits western release. A lot of knowledge about the game we will already have, so that to me is hardcore. Cause not a lot of guilds are dedicating themselves like that to play an entire out-of-seas version.
The Plans right now are straight forward. We’re prepping up for CBT 1. And anyone who goes into CBT-1, it’s just an info gather. There’s going to be a lot of information coming out of CBT. As far as the guild goes, we’ll be slowly setting up our structure. Getting guild officers in place, slowly forming the guild core. Some members in this guild right now are inactive, and sorry to say but you’re not going to make the cut. You know this is a guild that doesn’t really care about numbers. All of us are kind of like friends at this point, so we know whose active and whose not. Whose in the conversation, whose contributing, whose just there you as a lurker you know, and we want members that are obviously engaged in the guild. Like actually talk and know their fellow members, cause this shits like a gang, we’re close-knit. And the guild will be closed-door recruitment. I think Ace is going to head that project. Most likely itll prob look like some sort of voting system or something, who really knows. Ill let him kind of decide that process. But that’s the agenda for the guild. I think overtime you’ll start seeing actual plans like a raid team list and timezone spreadsheets and stuff like that. But I don’t think it’s needed right now since we don’t know whose sticking around right. We don’t know whose going to survive the purges.
And I think its important to know right now while we’re all kind of waiting is just to hang out with members. Play some games, go to club game nights. Cause club game nights are designed not just for memes and shitposting but for actual teamwork and getting to know your members. Watch streams together or whatever. It’s all designed around that idea. So that when we go into JP, we don’t have to kind of try to get to know eachother, just go in there and GANG.
So hopefully that answers everyones concerns and questions. But TL:DR version – We’re building a guild from the ground up, starting with the most basic shit. So all the plans like timezone and raid teams, we’ll get there once more info is revealed. Be an actual active member. Talk, voice-chat, streams, join game night whatever you want to do. But if you’re just kind of a lurker and we go down the purge list and we’re like, “who the fuck is this”. You’re not going to make the cut.
