Another week of guild discussion roundtable
Alright welcome to another week of Zuko Guild talk. So if you guys are new, we kind of do these guild talks/recordings every week to kind of discuss stuff in the guild and to get everyone on the same page. And the reason for this is because if you’ve been in this discord longer than 30 min youll realize There’s like 50 different topics that is discussed like every day in the matter of minutes. Example you could be talking about like anime one second and in another second the conversation shifts towards like real life or some shit. That’s just the nature of this discord, its almost impossible to be on top of everything. Your gone 30 min, you miss 800 messages in this discord. That’s how fast shit goes down here. So the purpose of these recordings is to kind of like focus the guild conversation on certain topics of the week, kind of have like a group discussion.
So for this week we’re mainly going to be discussing raiding and raid teams and how that all fits into the bigger picture of the guild, covering topics like social and hardcore and stuff.
But before we do that, some general housekeeping shit. You all have noticed that we now have guild-applications, and yes even ex-members have to fill these out. And the reason for that is because CBT is coming up and I can guarantee you that there’s going to be a flood of people trying to get into the guild. The application/vote system is more of like “Quality control”. It’s not perfect and its not super in-depth as some hardcore guilds out there, but it gets the job done. The purpose of the guild-apps is to make sure there wasn’t any previous drama between a potential member and an already existing member. Example, like lets say theres this guy who just is super toxic on Blue Protocol Database discord and they applied to the guild. Well, you as a member have the right to say. Nah, we cant let him in. He’s toxic af. That’s a No. Then you know the rest of the guild will be like, oh shit. Alright we trust you, that’s a no, etc. So that’s kind of the new app thing. Of course as a member, you guys are expected to kind of vote or give input or whatever.
I think the other general housekeeping thing is that I think we have a lot of artistic people in the guild you know that are brainstorming with the guild logo. I know there’s a friend of mine that is also working on the guild logo, so I think that’ll be revealed sometime this week. And I guess we’ll kind of decide from there what to use.
So with that stuff out of the way, it’s time to discuss this weeks topic. 20-Man Raids and how it’s going to work. So as of right now, there’s literally almost zero info on raiding. Other than we know it exists and its supposedly up to 20 people and maybe 30 in the future. So shoutout to Korean letters for the spreadsheet. I think it gives us a pretty good template for future use. If you guys haven’t seen it, the link is below make sure to check it out.
Theres a lot of opinions I guess on how the guild should be structured how we should approach raiding and how we should plan and prepare and you know we need an A team ELITE team and a B team and all this other stuff. And I think its cool that people are planning ahead like that, I think its something we def need to plan out when the time comes for it. But I also think that realistically, we can have all the plans in the world or structure but I think its just going to break down to this theory.
So here’s my theory and prob the main discussion point of this week’s recording. The guild is going to have cliques based on members playstyles, timezone, and a general number of other things like just general friendships. Like example – Faren lvled from 1 to 30 with trash so they already got that GANG mentality. And from these small cliques, are going to form raid teams. And here’s why. I think guilds overlook the fact that Blue Protocol has confirmed one thing. Arena or (Party v Party). Arena is a max of 6 people per group and is prob going to be the first endgame content we see in Blue Protocol. So guess what, the guild is going to sort itself out naturally. Members are going to start forming static 6 man teams, again naturally. So I mean that’s basically my theory of what’s going to happen. And then its just merging those 6 man teams into raid squads, which is weird cause if you do the math. Arena is 6 man teams, raid is 20 so obviously it doesn’t add up. It made more sense when the original raid size was 30 so you would just have 5 arena teams. But I mean this is far future thinking. So that’s how raid teams are going to form – most likely. Again I like how everyone is pretty passionate about the guild and coming up with ways to organize it and stuff and prepare us for raiding. But I def think we just need more info.
