Hello everyone, so lets get started. It’s been almost a year since this club or discord was founded, and during that whole length of time, we’ve gone through a lot. And for all the veteran members that were here back in the day, you all remember how we use to do these big townhall meetings and stuff. We don’t really do these a lot, like we only call these for big moments. Well today is one of those big moments, as the year ends, we want everyone to know kind of the plans for this crew as we enter 2021 together here. Today we’ll be covering the following topics Community, Games, Administration, and finally Q/A Segment. But before we go into it, just some ground rules. As you all know, you are all muted, this is for obvious reasons. If you guys have a question, feel free to DM Trash/Bibi and they will unmute you and you will then be able to ask your question. Pretty simple and straight forward. Please do keep in mind that there’s a lot of people here that are time sensitive, so don’t waste all of our time asking meme questions.
So first topic up is community. 2020 has been a very weird time for everybody and I think a lot of us realize that. One of the main reasons personally why I came back from my hiatus is because honestly, we all need an escape. One of the main reasons why I decided Howl’s would be a social-focused crew was for that very reason, a lot of us are in quarantine and etc. and it’s important to have people to chill with and talk to. So that’s why Howl’s Club came back. So long story short, since our “reunion” as a club. we’ve managed to gather back all the old core and induct new members. As we grow, one of the biggest problems that I know about is that we don’t really have a lot of EU or Asia players as this club is mainly NA-Based. I just want all the Asia and EU people to know that we’re working on it, you guys aren’t ignored, and we’ll slowly get there. But our process is kind of like this, We’ll always invite people regardless of region as long as they’re cool, as long as we enjoy their company.
In terms of community, I’m planning on bringing back the “News Section” of the website. This will basically be used for articles/guides/etc or share content (Youtube vids/twitch streams/etc.). It’ll allow members to create guides or write articles/opinionated pieces as long as they are registered on the website. The reason for this is because as much as I love discord, shit gets lost in this discord. Even if we pin it, it’s just not as “efficient” or visually appealing.
To all the new members, don’t be scared to talk in general or join voice. We’ve all been there tbh in this club, but once you start. You prob won’t be able to stop, pretty sure a lot of people here never used discord until they joined the club or got in voice and vibed. Personally, I honestly don’t like talking, i’m a shy gamer. That’s why I just AFK in the music channel tbh, but every now and then I’ll join voice. But just let us know you’re alive every now and then.
Other then that, I mean if you guys have suggestions for channels or whatever, feel free to DM me and we’ll test it out, like that pet channel. Good idea, but dead.
So this is prob one of the biggest topics that we’ll discuss today. As many of you know, there’s a lot of supposed games coming out in 2021. And myself and the other admins are keeping an eye on them, trying to figure out what would be considered a game that we’d go into. Before, we were all focused on Blue Protocol, that was a year ago and I think we all learned our lesson about that. It’s good to be hyped, but being hyped for 1 game for over 6 months is just not sustainable from a community standpoint. So obviously we’re excited for Blue Protocol and our focus on that has not changed, but in the meantime we’ll obviously be going into other games. Meaning we now have fully converted into a anime-gaming community, if you wanted a description. As a friendly reminder, the games we’re going into will always be updated in the club-list channel. If you want access to game specific channels, please check there. So just to breakdown our process on how we decide games – So we decide games based on this process. We always test these games out before we decide on making it in any shape or form a “Club” for this community. We call these tests “expeditions”, a group of us will basically (Explorers) try out these games during beta or etc, and judge it by these 3 aspects.
1. Pay2Win, obviously if the game is just straight up buy to win, we’ll kind of ignore it. It’s okay for the game to have perks in the cash shop but if its just blatant p2w, then def no. Definitely a debatable aspect, so usually that’s just by consensus of the “explorers” who test these games.
2. Longevity – Is there enough content, is the game going to last or survive past 4 months or just kind of give it an estimate on lifetime of service. Endgame content/social features/etc.
3. Population – Is there hype/etc?
So with that out the way, here’s our 2021 schedule. Our first game is
Blue Protocol – So obviously, we have not received any CBT Date or any substantial new information since the stress test. We’ll be keeping our eyes on this, but I’m going to be honest with you guys. I still believe we’re a very long way from any actual form of release even in JP. A lot of people doubted me when I said that a year ago, and look where we are now. So, we’ll be keeping BP on the radar.
However, In the meantime we’ll be doing some basic stuff in preparation for JP Launch such as setting up a rough framework of the guild administration. As you all know, the guild originally for Blue Protocol was called Nightfall, that will still remain as our guild name for Blue Protocol despite the club now being called Howl’s Club. Since we have such a diverse population of members interested in BP. We’ll be setting up a global council administration framework, which I have posted in the chat. That framework is pretty self explanatory. We’ll be doing 3 regions once the game is released globally. However, the summarized game plan is this. Once BP is out in Japan, whoever is interested. We’ll be all playing the JP version while we wait for EU/NA release as well as other Asian countries, which then we’ll breakup into our individual regions depicted by the organizational chart that I linked. Anyone who is interested in being a part of this “administration” can contact me.
Corepunk/Lost Ark – These two games are something that Bibi has recommended and will most likely be taking point on. Obviously there’s a lot of people here that play League/Eternal so these were no brainers for us. However, same situation like BP. Not a lot of information in terms of release date or timeline. So we’ll be keeping these games on the radar and make a decision once we get a more finalized release date.
PSO2-New Genesis – I think a lot of people here are looking forward or plan to try PSO2-NG out, so of course we’ll be going into this game. Uhm, Trash will most likely be handling this division. It’s mainly going to be a chill guild/social, just all around good times. So if you have been playing PSO2 regularly, get ready to be reunited with the gang in New Gen. We’re going to flex fashion and gamble in the casino, it’ll be a good time boiz.
Bless-Unleashed – So lets be clear, Bless-Unleashed isss, well there’s no high expectations for this game. Lets be honest, for the most part. We’ll be starting a division in bless-unleashed as a casual chill environment mainly to kill time while we wait for everything else. That’s mainly the purpose, uhm if we end up staying, we end up staying. But I personally don’t have high expectations for this, and I’m pretty sure those that played with me in CBT know exactly what I’m talking about. I think it’s a good game to chill and just enjoy with friends, but not something that i see in longterm value if that makes sense. So, again we’ll be going into this. Feel free to join us, we’ll be just enjoying the game.
Elyon – Elyon is a game that a lot of people are surprisingly hyped for. It’s made by the same team that made tera. Just a heads up, all the endgame content in Elyon revolves around PvP. Ranked Arenas/GvG/Faction v Faction/etc. With that said, this guild branch will be different from the rest of the club in the sense that it’ll be classified as a little competitive and not a social. What does that mean? Means we’re actually going to try. The reasoning for this is because it’s hard to be a social guild in a game that is built around competitive gameplay, especially endgame content. So we’ll be starting a guild for Western release. As of right now, I don’t advise playing KR because from what I was told and heard, KR is doing frequent reverify account waves. So, just take that with risk. We’ll go into more details with that in the near future.
Crimson Desert – This was recently announced with the worldwide reveal trailer, sometime in Winter 2021. No idea if this is KR or for Global. we’ll keep our eye on it for confirmed info, but it’s def certain that we will be involved in this as a lot of us have played BDO.
That’s pretty much it for 2021. Of course there will be random games that we play throughout as we go into these break periods such as League/Eternal or whatever other small games. If you have any questions about this topic we’ll do a quick Q/A.
So long story short, we’re looking for some people EU/Asia based that want to help coordinate, organize, grow that section of the community.
Q:(theFATEweeb#8667) : Since lots of people have bad Pc why don’t we play some kind of “legacy” game?
A:(Zuko): Defenitly gonna and am already (Flyff) playing “legacy” style games and are always open to recommendations. We’l keep it in mind and look around if anyone wants to play.
Q(Deo#6832) Why are we not playing Closers, Soulwourker etc…?
A:(Zuko): Population too low, community’s basicly dead. Feel free to play but we’l not set up any guild devison up for that.
Q:(Banana Ghost King#9768) : What kind of blue protocol guild are we gonna be?
A:(Zuko): Wel monitor the content and see what kind of content is gonna be added before deciding.
Q:(Eden#1576) : Are we going competitive in most games?
A:(Zuko): Since most games we play we will not realy be able to, but in games like Elyon for example wel try to get competitive though.
Q:(🎁KuroQ🎁#9563) : More tournaments and even on non-MMO games like League for example, which we did before?
A:(Zuko): Definitly, were already training and planning for another League tournament and want to organize one for eternal return aswell. Tree of life probably aswell. Hit us up in the game channels and at game nights.
